OK so we are almost there! Xmas break isnto too far away and everyone is busy working to get their work done good luck to all :D

Ok so i have now finnished my experimental!
heres the final thing :D



Over the past few weeks we have all be working on our experimental animations. for my experimental project i used cut ous inspired by Russian Constructivism. While i was in college i was hugely influenced by Russian Constructivism with their great use of shapes and angels this influenced me greatly in my college work and now i have done this project im happy that i could use constructivism as a focused point again.
During the project i had many ups and downs i encountered many problems e.g. the dope sheets, i didn't have a clue how to produce a dope sheet so this was hard. after about 4 days of development from my ideas to choosing the audio and then Finlay creating the dope sheet.
after doing several tests i thought about doing something completely different, after i spoke to Kathy she said that maby this wasn't the kind of animation that is suited for me and that this "wasn't me" i took her advice and i did about 30 seconds worth of animation to the same dope sheet however when i went to export it the images were all messed up and Monkey Jam wouldn't convert them so i was stuck. after that problem i decided to go back and Re do my first idea and that is my final animation.
after i created the animation and i added the audio i noticed that the timing was off and this really made me feel low. I guess it was because i messed up the dope sheet, i think that next time i do something like this i will have to understand dope sheets more and get an understanding about how they work. I am happy with the final out come alot of work went into it and i think the final outcome looks inspired by Russian Constructivism.
If i could do the project again i would double check the dope sheets gain and again until the timing is right and i would possibly try another form of animation like Kathy suggested. Like i said i had fun doing this im not 100% sure if it works however i was experimenting and it was alot of fun.

it says my final animation however if i get time im going to add a few more inbetweens and a background...
im not 100% happy with the final outcome but if i get time i will change bits and bobs :)

ugh!

im working on the inking stage of my 11 second project and im finding it really hard to ink using a tablet...
i need to improve -_-

im feeling quite rushed atm but im putting alot of effort into my work this year!

the character is arguing with another character to the right of the shot, however i might change it im not sure yet.

tomorrow im going to start my final experimental piece :)

over the past few days i have been thinking/worrying alot about my experimental project.

this isn't good, i don't know why but i find myself thinking more and more than i wont get it done on time. i find myself saying to myself "if you think like that i wont get it done on time" so i have to stop.

over the past few days i have been a head case, thinking what can i do? how can i do it? how they hell does the dopesheet work!? i think what i have to do tomorrow is just sit down and just do it.

i have a rough idea

about what im going to do and i have a rough plan of how im going to do it.

so i guess its not all bad :)

over the past week i have had a few ups and downs i havent been very well so the animation i have done i am not happy with! -_-

i will upload it here sometime this week if i get a chance, but im thinking im going to re animate it when i get a chance.

anyway i have been working on my manga when i get a chance so here are some images that i have done :)

First animation of the second year :)

Ok so we got set our first short asigment of the second year :) also this is my first animation i have done in flash.
im still trying to get to grips with flash and animating in general. last year i struggled alot but over the summer i worked really hard to improve :)

i hope that this year will be one of the best years of my life :)

since i moved back to falmouth i have moved in with sian, alberto and chloe and everything is great we spend alot of the time gaming drawing and watching youtube vids.

A new term begins :)

Thats right a new term begins!
im looking forward to this year alot more than i was last.
i need to practie more on flash though :/ however i guess practice makes
perfect and all that.

YAY! well yah.... im 19 now :/ feels kinda weird i cant belive how fast my life as been moving over the past few years. its been a great birthday though :D

i got lots of amazing gifts e.g. Dom Got me a photo frame full of images of me and her :D and i also got my greatest possession my friend in Japan sent me a picture of ichio Kurosaki from Bleach drawn for me... by my idol Tite Kubo and signed it :D its in full colour FAN BOY SCREAM! :D:D:D:D

Update

basicaly things are lookig up. i was walking up the road and i saw a black cat in the nearby gravyard and i found a lil black cat who i thought was my kitten betty... my mother and i toook her to the vets and we were sadly given the bad news she is not betty :(

however!

we are going to adopt her... shes very frail and very ill she has hardly any teeth... we have ptu up signs around the village and were hopeing no one says shes our cat!

on other news i have finsihed the first chpater of the devils puppet :D

and i am now working on my own manga comic LIVE TRAP!

life part 1

My life is full of ups and downs... not knowing what im going to be doing with myself. i have a beautiful girl freind great family and lovely freinds.

however we have lots a big part in my famliy's life. our kitten betty, shes been missing for about a week now and we dont know were she has gone.

as far as animation...? nothing i have been too busy with work at the resteraunt and working on my upcoming manga. its almost done :D i have filled up about 2 more scetchbooks full of doodles and consepts. but i do plan to do some more animations but due to the fact my laptop is utter crap i feel like i wont be able to do much work on it D:

however i have sorted out my student loans and i should rly start working on my DSA forms that way i imght be able to get a MAC :)

i can now relax for a while :D

i was kinda gutted with my group project results considering i worked really REALLY hard and didnt go to bed for like 3 days... so meh :( kinda lame

This week i have been back to Malta.. (great timing darrien -_-') my mother booked this holiday about a year ago due to the fact that its my cousins wedding :)
it is the first time i have been to Malta in 15 years and i got to meet my farther i havent seen him in 12 years so it was a big deal for me. i also got to meet my brothers and sisters for the first time :D

im really angry that i have had a week off when i know my team mates have been working their butts off on our old man animation. im really worried that im falling behind with work and stuff :(
i have kept myself busy working on sketches for about a hour a day but i don't want to fall behind and get kicked out of the group. i feel that they are all going to be off with me when i get back and i dont want them to because there all really awesome ^^

pluss im a complete noob when it comes to flash and i don't want to hold anyone behind because the deadline is coming up D: i think over the summer holidays im going to work work work!!!

animation is one of the most important things in my life i really love it ^^ but im still a novice when it comes to animating im ok when it comes to drawing and colour just timing is a big problem and the programs are hard too.
however on a more positive note me and my gf broke up :D so i can now focus on work and friends!

thus giving me more time to work my real job and time to work on my course :)

i really cant wait till next September i cant wait to live with my best friends!

Work Update

over the past 2 weeks i have been really busy wworking on our group project.
i have been the conspet artist, working my butt of to produce the consept of the streets and settings were the animation will be ill post some images up for you to have a google at :)#

hey hey! ok so after a while of designing i came up with these. The flash background will be placed on a shelf. i wanted to make them look like toys so it would fit the scene. Also i have started creating my maya room :) its going ok even though i find it really really hard :(

hey sorry it has been sutch along time since i posted anything i have been really busy :)

christmas break was great had a nice rest aswell as working alot.

i managed to fill a whole sketchbook over the 4 weeks just doodles nothing too interesting.
i spent all my xmas money on new marker pens and drawing materials.

as far as animation i didnt manage to get any done due to my computer :(

were back now and getting stuck into alot of things witch is cool however i am really woried about the essay i really suck at writing essays D:

im alot better talking about my points rather than writing.

anyway i shall post some quick artwork and be on my way :)
